Finger authentication is difficult to read and authentication fails. Are there any tips?

There are the following two measures.

Re-register finger information

In most cases, people who have difficulty authenticating have not been able to record a suitable template at the first registration.

If an inaccurate template is created during the first registration, subsequent authentication is more likely to fail.

Settings > Employees > [Employee Settings] > Click [Display]

[Edit] of target person> Time recorder information "○○ registration status ": Click [○○ registration deletion] > [Delete]

You can delete the current registration information from the above procedure.

After that, update (or restart the time recorder) in Time Recorder screen> Settings> “Update data” and register again from the “Authentication registration” menu.

Fingerprint authentication tips

  • The thumb or middle finger is suitable because it has a large area and a rough finger is desirable.

  • In addition, dryness or coldness may cause a reduction in the certification rate. Please adjust.

  • After covering the authentication surface to record, let's wait for about 2 seconds slowly without releasing it.

  • When you register for the first time, you will keep a record a total of 4 times, but if you register in all 4 times in the same state as possible, a highly accurate template will be created and you can expect to improve the authentication rate.

Tips for vein authentication

  • The middle finger is suitable as long fingers are preferred, not too thin.

  • The most important thing in registration/authentication is "put your finger straight and level".

  • If your hands are cold, tap your hands 2 or 3 times. It may be improved by stretching the contracted muscles and increasing blood flow.

  • When you register for the first time, you will be required to record a total of 3 times, but you do not necessarily have to insert and remove it.

  • After fixing your finger correctly, click the [OK] button three times with the finger in place to improve the authentication rate.

Hybrid authentication tips

  • The middle finger is suitable as long fingers are preferred, not too thin.

  • When registering/certifying, place it parallel to the sensor and do not bend your finger.

  • If the authentication device is dirty with dust, it may be difficult to authenticate.

  • Wipe the inside with a dry cloth.

  • When you register for the first time, you will keep a record a total of 3 times, but if you register in all 3 times in the same state as possible, a highly accurate template will be created and you can expect to improve the authentication rate.

It comes off when pulled horizontally.

Decrease authentication level

It is effective when re-registration does not help. The authentication accuracy can be changed by changing the authentication level.

Settings > Organization > [Time recorder setting] > Basic time recorder setting, or [Edit]> operation setting “ Authentication level ”

Below are the default values.

  • Fingerprint authentication: "High"
  • Vein authentication: "Medium"
  • Hybrid authentication: "Medium"

Please lower the authentication level and register. Next, reload the data in [Settings]> “Update data” on the time recorder screen, and then try to time record.

By lowering the authentication level, it is more likely that someone will be allowed to accept you (being authenticated as anothe
